Tinkering again...

I wasted most of the weekend doing some pointless (for you) things. First I have set my sights on a new 'project'. I am creating a special battery pack that looks...
like a six-pack of (insert various soda brand). Why soda? Because I have a habit of adding various 'touches' to my projects. One thing that is going to be unique about this, besides the cover, is I am working on the way to charge it. I believe I am either going to have it charged by wind power or bicycle. If it is charged by the wind I will attach the windmill to the cans in some novelty way. If it is bicycles I need to find a way that I can attach it to any bike to charge. Knowing my past experience on subjects like these... wish me luck.
Also, another (relatively) small thing I am working on is recreating a guarded item as you would see in a museum in movies. Therefor I have to:
  • Create a Plexiglas case;
  • Find some 'scenery' for the museum
  • Find some red film, lenses, and mirrors for the 'lasers'
Fairly simple to do except for the "lasers". Technically they are infared beams used to detect something the interrupts their path. I, however, do not have money for that especially for something so simple. I am shall instead channel lights from another room using mirrors. Then I shall use the lenses to focus the light into more of a beam shape. The red film is just there to increase how cool it looks. It will make sure that all the light coming from the source is red only.
